Climbing in the Brenta Dolomites: The Normal Routes
The normal routes in the Brenta Dolomites offer easy climbing up to grade 3rd on a very compact rock that characterizes this group. However, these routes should not be underestimated for the severe high mountain environment in which they develop. Weather conditions change very quickly and it should be considered that, since the altitude is constantly above 2500 m, it is often possible to find snowy and icy stretches that require the use of crampons. In recent years, these routes have been partially equipped to increase safety. This is why many of them are perfect for learning how to move on this type of terrain, abandoning the wire rope of via ferratas towards classic mountaineering. Some are possible in one day using the cable ways or jeeps, while for others it is necessary to stay overnight in a refuge.
It will be possible to create a multi-day itinerary - perhaps even more spectacular than the Via Ferrata delle Bocchette - combining different normal routes together.

Advice
- In high season it is advisable to book in advance to find a place in the refuge
- Leaving early and returning early to the refuge or to the car is recommended to avoid the afternoon weather instability that is very common in the Brenta in summer.
