Monte Rosa - Matterhorn e Vallis

Mountaneering and Freeride Paradise between Italy and Switzerland

On the border between the “Aosta” Valley and Switzerland we find impressive mountains over 4000 meters. On the Italian side we find the famous ski area of “Breuil-Cervinia”, dominated by the “Matterhorn”. On the Swiss side there is the fairytale village of Zermatt (Canton Valais) with characteristic stone houses and access point to the peaks of the “Imperial Crown” (Weisshorn, Bishorn, Obergabelhorn, Zinalrothorn etc ...) as well as the “Matterhorn” and “Monte Rosa”.

We present here some selected climbs, both easy on the glacier, but also more demanding up to the ascent of the “Matterhorn”.

Finally, don’t forget the “Alagna / Gressoney / Champoluc” ski area in winter: absolutely unmissable for freeride enthusiasts!
