Vie Ferrata in the Dolomites
The via ferratas in the Dolomites are one of the most popular destinations for mountain lovers.
Via ferratas here were born in the first post-war period, largely retracing the rocky paths that were used by the Alpine troops to reach a strategic viewpoint or the top of a mountain. Even today it is possible to see and explore trenches, caves and artifacts of the First World War, reachable through stairs and metal cables, tunnels, ledges and aerial sections, such as the Tibetan bridges. These modernized and equipped routes offer a vertical experience even to those who do not practice climbing.
There are via ferratas of different development and degree of difficulty, which combine the pleasure of direct contact with the rock with the satisfaction of the summit, in the panorama of the UNESCO Dolomites!
